Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair
Saturday, December 01 2012, 10:00am - 6:00pm

WHAT IS AN ALTERNATIVE GIFT FAIR?
The Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair is a fun way to bypass the annual stress of holiday shopping and "stuff" accumulation while honoring friends and relatives with donations to causes that fit their values. What's more, the Ithaca Alternative Gift Fair provides critical support for a diverse collection of community organizations whose work has local, national, and international reach.. Last year's gift fair earned more than $66,000 for the participating organizations (and nearly $2,000 for the SPCA!)

HOW DOES IT WORK? Each organization that participates in the fair offers variously priced gifts that have a specific purpose... For each donation, the giver receives a holiday card with a description of the organization and gift, and the organization to which your contribution is made gets 100% of your donation.

So join us at the fair and donate for food, shelter, medicine, surgery and emergency care for homeless pets in our community to give the gift of saving the life of a furry friend to your friends and family this holiday season!

Location : First Baptist and First Methodist Churches, downtown Ithaca

Stories

"My girl Ava was one of those unfortunate souls in that trailer, but she is now thriving with a brother and sister (Vik and Gracie), and lives the life of a QUEEN!  She loves playing ball allllllll day long!  Her once scarred face has since grown over with soft, beautiful fur, and the only reminder of those days is the bone that juts out from her shoulder (it does not bother her).  We own an old farmhouse surrounded by land, so she has plenty of room to roam with us. We love her with all of our hearts!"
