"Dear Friends at the SPCA of TC,
You might remember me as Rascal, the coonhound. I write to tell you what has happened to me since I left with my new owners the Saturday before Easter, when the Potters came to visit me and took me home. They liked my coonhound bark, my color, and the way I focused on protecting the area of other dogs and animals.
The Potters have a grandson, Coby, who really likes giving me treats and having me sit, shake, and lay down. My prior owner had already taught me these things so it is very easy for me to consume all the treats Coby offers. And they are good!
My new home is fantastic! They have two and a half acres for me to mark my territory on, but the best part is that there is an apartment complex across the road that has many vet students with dogs that I can bark at. The Potters leave their dining room window open about four inches so that I can smell and hear anyone that needs barking at. And since we are on the bus route, I get to bark at the busses when they stop in front of the house. You see, they are T-“CAT” busses.
I am now the Alpha Dog of the West End of Varna.” This title was passed on to me from Winston, a commanding Saint Bernard rescue dog who passed away from cancer just one week before I was adopted. Winston’s owner, Dave, comes by several times a week to visit and take me for a run. I like that.
So I just want to thank you for letting me come home with the Potters. I am a lucky dog!
Wagging tails,
Rusty" |
