When Elvis came to us, he weighed barely 1.5 pounds. But that was 1.5 pounds of pure self-awareness.. . He loves to steal my husband's dirty socks and hide them under the bed. He also watches me very carefully while I prepare dinner, especially if it involves fish - he has a special step-stool he uses for his observation deck. He's very put out if we have to use the bathroom and shut the door . . . He loves to torment our poor black Lab. . . He also loves to wrestle with our other cat. . . I wish to thank the TC SPCA for giving us the opportunity to provide frequent belly-rubs and occasional exasperated exclamations of "ELVIS! NO!" to a real character. Here he is, in all his nine-pound glory - I bet you won't recognize him:

Saturday September 29th at Cass Park in Ithaca from 9am to 2pm!! PetFest is full of fun activities for your pets &and the whole family, including our biggest fundraising event, the 20th Annual Dog Walk, this year held on the beautiful Cayuga Waterfront Trail at Cass Park! Walk with your dog or walk to honor a treasured pet! Come enjoy agility and fly ball demonstrations by Pawsitively Fun Training, music by Polarus, and magic by Eric Dittelman. PetFest also includes a Doggie Day Spa, art and crafts by Spirit & Kitsch, fun activities for kids, and games for pets. Have a keepsake portrait taken with your pet! Come enjoy food, SPCA merchandise and of course, SPCA animals ready for adoption! Fabulous prizes will be awarded to our top fundraisers, in addition to raffles for several fantastic prize packages.
