3. to go forward; advance; proceed.
–noun
4. advance; progress; forward movement

On October 2nd on the beautiful TC3 campus the March for the Animals is a call to action to our community. Your fundraising support is needed now to ensure that Tompkins County continues to be one of the safest places in the nation for stray and homeless pets.

Be one of 1,000 marchers. Raise $100.
Help us meet our $100,000 goal to keep saving the lives of adoptable animals in Tompkins County.

For nearly a decade the SPCA of Tompkins County has led the way as the first open-admission, No Kill animal shelter in the United States. The support of the residents in Tompkins County has made this possible and with your continued support we can to continue to save the lives of animals in our community.

NOW is the time to renew your commitment to the philosophy which guarantees the life of every adoptable animal in our community. NOW is the time that every person that cares about the lives of animals, that cares about the safety of their pets and that believes “It’s Great to be Alive!” must join the movement to continue to keep Tompkins County among the best No Kill communities in the country. NOW is the time to MARCH for the ANIMALS.

Why March? Here's what one youth team has to say:

"We are the Purple Catz, a group of girls aged 10-13. We started Petfest (now March for the Animals) two years ago, where we raised $508. Last year, that amount more than doubled, thanks to your generous donations! This year, we hope to raise more than the $1,069 we raised last year, but if we don't, that's okay because we just want to help the animals with whatever we can. Thanks so much in advance for whatever you can give! We love you all! :)"
