Dog Training Program

All classes are supervised and held in a clean and safe environment. We use only positive training methods.

Muddy Paws Dog Training Presents:

Puppy Play and Learn  *Ongoing - Enroll today!**

Socialization & basic manners for puppies age 8-20 weeks

Puppy classes are a great way to get a jump-start on training your puppy to become a dog you enjoy living with. The first and foremost goal of puppy classes is to get together puppies of a similar age for play and socialization. Play is the primary way that puppies learn to problem-solve and trouble-shoot. While the puppies are playing, we spend time covering basic training, including problem prevention. This is a drop in class, so you can get started right away!

Time:  Every Saturday 1:00-2:00pm

Cost: $50 for SPCA of TC alum and volunteers/ $65 general public for five classes

Doggy Play Time

This weekly class is a supervised environment for dogs to learn and develop their social skills, or to just give them an opportunity to run around with other dogs in a safe and clean environment.  Owners will learn about dog-to-dog interactions.  It is a great alternative to the Dog Park, and a portion of the fees assist the SPCA of Tompkins County.

Cost for 6 sessions: SPCATC alums $30, all others $60

Cost for 10 sessions: SPCATC alums $40, all others $80

Where: The Dorothy and Roy Park Pet Adoption Center fenced play yard (weather permitting).

Colby and Derby

"I just wanted to say how great the work that you all do is! I adopt my first dog from you and about a year and a half ago. He was Rex then, but is now Colby, and I absolutely LOVE him. Two weeks ago, my boyfriend adopted our second dog. She... was Sweetie then, but we renamed her to Derby. It took a little while for the two to get used to each other, but now it's hard to imagine things without both of them. Thanks for everything and keep up the amazing work!"
