Stories

"Many years ago, I paid a visit to your facility. There, I met a sweet dog named Queenie – a shepherd/St. Bernard mix – and she came back to Vermont with us. I’m writing to you now as we celebrate Queenie’s 16th birthday! Queenie remains happy and healthy. She is a joy to me, and has helped to raise children, grandchildren, chickens, a seeing-eye pup, and various other critters. She’s gentle, smart, sensitive, loyal, and has a great sense of humor. My life has been blessed by having her as a friend, companion, and furry pillow. I want to thank you for making all of this possible, and for all the work you do to find homes for the animals in your care."
