Please do not bring an animal to the shelter without an appointment. Immediate intake is generally only available for injured or extremely sick animals. If you have found a sick or injured animal, contact Animal Control . Requests for owner surrenders and found healthy animals are scheduled in advance. We receive many requests every day. Pet owners must fill out and submit required intake documents prior to scheduling an appointment.

If you are looking for a lost pet, please look at our Animal Control Facebook page where we post stray animals that have come into the shelter. We also recommend the Tompkins County Lost and Found Pets Facebook group as a resource to help others in identifying and locating your lost or found animal.
